Moving In

Before moving-in day, we will have gone over the signed lease agreement with you and
answered any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact us anytime if you
have further questions or need something clarified.

When the tenancy is about to start, we make a time to meet you at the property and
complete the property inspection section of the tenancy agreement. We normally hand
over the keys at this time.

Before you move in, you will need to take care the following:

Connection of utilities – This includes electricity, gas, telephone, internet, Sky etc.
We recommend you use Fast Connect to do this. Fast Connect is a free service and will
save you time and money. Please call 0800 88 55 99 and quote code 1999Z. (You can
find out more about this service at www.fastconnect.co.nz.)

Rent payments – We will email a rental summary with all relevant details to you before
the tenancy starts. Rent and bond payments are to be paid into the ‘Red Rocks Property
Management Rent in Trust’ account on/by the due date.

Insurance – The owner will have insurance on the property but this does not cover
your personal contents. We highly recommend that you take out your own insurance to
cover this.

Maintenance – Email Wayne@redrockspropertymanagement.co.nz to let us know
about any repairs and maintenance required, as soon as practical after moving in.

Rubbish and recycling – Wellington City Council (WCC) collects rubbish in your area.
Phone them on 499 4444
or visit wellington.govt.nz/services/environment-and-waste/rubbish-and-recycling
for information about your collection day and other details.

If rubbish is not disposed of frequently, it can become a health problem. All rubbish must
be disposed of on a regular basis or it will attract rodents.
